How to remove coffee stains

How to remove coffee stains

Have you just sat down to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and the unimaginable has happened and you’ve spilt coffee every where. Here are our top tips to remove the dreaded Coffee stain.

The First Step is to ACT QUICKLY. Once the stain is dried it can be nearly impossible to remove.

How to remove coffee stains

  1. Blot as much of the coffee off using a paper towel.
  2. Mix two cups of warm water with a TBSP of dish-soap and a TBSP of white vinegar.
  3. With a cloth blot the stain with the mixture (use a white cloth so that the colour does not transfer to the carpet)
  4. Keep blotting until the stain is gone.
  5. Use a sponge with cold water to rinse the area.
  6. Blot the area dry with a clean cloth.

If you don’t have these items in your office another way to remove the stain is to use whatever soap you have in your office and rub it into the stain and let it sit for an hour making sure it does not dry. After an hour rinse with water.

If you are looking for an unusual way to clean the stain egg yolk might be your answer. Firstly whisk up an egg yolk. After the egg yolk is frothy rub the yolk into the stain for a minute or two with a cloth. Then rinse with water and the stain should have disappeared. Once the stain is disappeared rewash the area with standard cleaning supplies as the area will smell eggy until washed.

For more serious stains that just won’t budge, we offer professional floor cleaning and commercial office cleaning, which will help budge that coffee stain. So you can sit back a relax, with a coffee but just be more careful this time.
